David Gustav Epstein is the George E. Allen Professor of Law at University of Richmond School of Law and an expert on bankruptcy.〔.〕 Epstein was raised in Texas by a Jewish family.〔John Woods, ('The Kinkster' comes to class in surprise visit ), New York Law Journal (via Houston Chronicle), October 15, 2002〕 Epstein received a B.A. from the University of Texas in 1964, a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1966, and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1969.〔(Southern Methodist University biography of David Epstein ).〕 While a student at UT, he became a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.
